A question for teachers, really. Just wondering what level of G and P a child would have to be regularly using to achieve a level 2 or level 3 . Thanks.

Yes they use them but to be level 4 they need to use them correctly and consistantly. I find with my Y2s for example that they often forget to start a new line for each new speaker.
