Xmas gifts (again)

So the DTDs are in Reception. We have chosen a present for their teacher. Is it also the done thing to get a present for TAs? They seem to share TAs in infants, and rotate them, so I'm not sure how many and who they are. Would it be OK not to bother? Or is that bad form?

TIA

I usually buy a big box of biscuits or chocolates and address it to all the TAs. I know they share them in the staff room at break time and it's much cheaper than buying individual presents. DS1 has three TAS and DS2 has four so it would cost a fortune!

Our TAs in Foundation and KS1 tend to be one per class, full time - so I get them presents (they are definitely as important as the teachers to the kids, and the parents!) but if I were you in your situation, I would do what ICow suggests...a nice box of chocs or biscuits for the staffroom, with a thankyou/merry xmas note addressed to the TAs of ds's class. I'm sure they'd be enjoyed and appreciated!

We had two regular TAs when dd was in reception, and so we did get nice gifts for them. Now she is in year 1, there are a few different "helpers" who come to the class from time to time, but honestly speaking, I have no idea who they are, or whether they are TAs, parent volunteers or work experience students! So no, we're not buying gifts for them this year.
