I used to work at Pooles Park and I think it was an awful school if Im allowed to say so.The teaching was not very good and the behaviour of the children was also not good. And if the same male headteacher is still there I'd advise you to steer clear.

I am sorry you are getting frustrated; I havent posted because I dont know the schools. For Stroud Green you could try posting your question on stroudgreen.org someone on there might know.

I don't have kids at these schools, but my friend turned down pooles park as she saw it as a sink school, they wanted grafton and has no place at a London school!

Anyway before you move into any area for school catchment I would suggest you hang around the school gates during drop off and collection to get a feel of the area, school, environment etc and along with visits to the school, ofsted reports etc you can make your decision!

Imho there might be better schools in neighbouring areas so broaden your search if poss! Hope this helps!

thanks all.

nlondondad I saw your post that Ashmount is to move at last - great news. Do you know at what point applications will be measured to the new postcode? I'm guessing not this January - which is when i have to apply for dd. New house .49 from new Ashmount site. Prob too tight anyway??
