Fun Maths websites or activities

Can any one suggest some fun maths websites?

DD1 is in Year 1 and so far as we know doing well with maths. Her reception teacher said she was good and enjoyed it.

Her current teacher has made a comment that maths is hard and she'll need help with it.

Not sure of context of remark - but teacher already seems prone to making remarks that DD1 takes to heart and finds upsetting or dispiriting.

Spent evening pointing out that most things need hard work to get good at and that Daddy and Mummy are very good and enjoy maths and both her Great Grandmother were very good - my Grannie earning very good money doing calculations.

Now need fun activities/websites to enthuse her again.

Any suggestions?

Ooops, that was meant to say ICT games is ace. Link works though, I think!

Thanks - the link did work.

Seems to be some good games there - and some that I'm not immediately getting which is probably a sign I need to go bed.

Definitely some fun to be had - thanks a lot.

I like Education City and Whizz Maths for paid sites that you can monitor progress

CoolMaths, Mathisfun, BBC, and loads of schools have links, if yours doesnt, have a look at other sites. Youwill find loads of info

My ds likes mathswhizz - as they go through they get credits to spend in the 'shop' and buy pets and such like.

TutPup is very basic, but kids get to practice basic stuff and challenge others from around the world in maths and spelling. Its free. Can't link it, bit too dozie!

Fantastic - thanks for all the replies.

I am off to look at all the suggestions and then hopefully get DD1 back thinking maths is enjoyable again.
