Anyone know what 'Activate' is?

DD is in reception and she was telling me that today they did 'activate' which is 'all about breathing'?? Confused
Can anyone enlighten me what this might be? I did wonder if it was something to do with PE but they didn't do PE today so must be something else.

So what is it?! (too lazy to google Grin)

It's basically a 5 minute physical exercise session to music, which is done in the classroom. We used to do it after the assembly, before starting lessons. It really re-energises the children if they've been sitting down through a deathly boring fascinating assembly.

It's 5 minutes start of morning/5 minutes start of afternoon (if I remember to put it on) DVD for the interactive whiteboard where some woman with a disgustingly good figure and annoyingly perfectly clear skin takes them through a few exercise moves that they can do standing in a space in the classroom. Generally it's stuff like marches, turns of direction, touchy knees and stuff to music. They've got different ones for different weeks so it doesn't get too repetitive as well but the kids always have their favourite moves that they love to do.

It's a commercial scheme basically but lots of schools use it. She's still got disgustingly perfect skin though!

I've been wondering this for weeks, thankyou!!

DS1 came home on day 2 (hes 4) saying ACTIVATE. I asked what he meant and he said the teacher put it on the board. I thought maybe it was an exercise to see what letters they recognised or something!

Now I know its actual exercise on the board Grin

They do this at DS2's primary.

The 'Orrible Oik does this at school. She loves it. Not sure what the point of it is though, still, as long as she likes it.
