Just wondering as my daughter's teacher seems to have a very slow approach to everything. They are still doing single sounds, which my LO new at nursery. I feel totally frustrated....but anyway what is the norm?!

I agree wheelsonthebus I can't see how a school doing as well as that wouldn't be outstanding. The mind boggles

They spell some words correctly and others phonetically (plausible attempts at longer words)

I am moving my year 1 child as in reception she was doing number bonds to 20 reading at ORT level 5/6 and basic time tables.

This week she has learnt to count to 10, the letters 'n' and 'd' and coloured and played. She is so frustrated at school that she misbehaves and is disruptive.

Just waiting for the forms to be completed.

There are other reasons that I am moving her but my normally bright happy child is sad.

why would she want to do her times tables in reception?

Should I be worried that my dd isn't reading Shakespeare. She has just given up on her Biff and Chipper tonight. Should I go over to SN thread?
