Do you mean Wordshark?

It is good for children who need lots of practice with phonics - lots of different games to practice the same blends / digraphs, etc.

I've used it at home and school used it - a total waste of time.

Do you want to help with reading or spelling?

If you want to help with spelling Nessy learning is better - and is much cheaper - only about £12. I also quite like 'apples and pears' spelling programme.

Possibly Grin. The computer game that is good for dyslexics particularly.

It's £67.50 to purchase and it's been recommended to me, but before I spend that kind of money just wondered if it was worth it.

My ds needs to get practice in the basics, he's too advanced for himself. In as much as he doesn't understand the building blocks of words, but has moved on. So I need to bring him back to the beginning of both reading and spelling.

Try nessy I think.

Each lesson concentrates on a different phonic. 40 lessons over all. £20.

The Ed Psych did recommend wordshark to me. I wasn't at all impressed with it.

I don't know nessy will work for you - but I'm fairly sure it is at least better than wordshark.

Alternatively try dancing bears fast track.
