Tiny grey school trousers

dd is starting school but is rather little. She also has cerebral palsy and is just starting to pull up and down her own trousers and pants. I need some grey trousers that are age 3-4. Preferably jersey so that they are easy to pull up and down. I've had a look in Tesco, Sainsbo and M & S and no teeny sizes left. Any ideas?

After some fruitless traipsing I've ordered the rest of the schoolwear we needed from Next Directory. I know it's not as cheap as Tesco but there's no point having a cupboard full of cheap clothes that don't fit! They have a huge range of trousers.

If you ring their customer services they are very helpful about sizes/measurements. Good luck for your dd!

thanks, will look at Next. Smile

How little is little?

DD is in age 2-3 clothes but sometimes they are too big for her. I find the sizes in M&S are a lot smaller than Tesco, Asda etc, DD had an age 3 pinafore dress last year but now needs an age 4 one. So although the age 3 is out of stock here the age 4 might fit?

M&S has free delivery and returns on schoolwear at the moment anyway, so there would be nothing lost if they were too big.

Would she cope better in a pinafore dress and tights/grey leggings? My 2 dds are skinny and trousers long enough for them would just fall down off their waists; so we have done this option for the last 3 years (might not work this year cos dd1 is going into Y3 and may want trousers now)

matalan do jersey ones from age 3 and asda also do ( my dd wears uniform for playgroup and wears!) these trousers, think they are about £3.

My DD wears pinafores and long socks for that exact reason gherkin.

thanks I've ordered some next trousers to try on. Also will have a look at Asda and Matalan. Can't really manage tights and dresses/long socks not great as she falls over a lot. I just look at her little school uniform and she just seems so small for school! It's funny cos dd1 was younger as she's an August birthday but because she's always been tall for her age she never looked too tiny for school.

yay! Next aged 3 trousers arrived today, fit really well and dd can pull them up and down on her own. Thanks for the suggestion, I would never have considered looking at Next Smile

my ds was in age 2-3 trousers when he started and I got them from woolies!!!

They are now back online so may be worth having a look there?

Congratualtions to dd btw being able to do soeme dressing independantly despite her physical difficulties - bet your so proud Smile

Thanks Mumbar, it's massive that dd can do trousers and pats now as she is now also interested in toilet training. I think until she could do it herself she didn't think it was worth trying. We're really proud. Smile
