School uniforms with logos. What to buy and how many ?

I have got my son t-shirts and 2 sweatshirts without a school logo as the school sells them with and without the logo.

This is what they sell with the logo:

  • Polar fleece, £13.50
  • Sweatshirt £8.50
  • Polo shirt £7.50
  • T-shirt £5.00

I bought sweatshirts and polo shirts from Asda, white t-shirts for PE from M&S. Everything is 100% cotton. The things above are not made from cotton.

Now I do not know what to buy with the school logo. A fleece top is probably a good thing to have. Would it be enough to please the school. The latter does not indicate what to buy. But I also want my son to feel comfortable, not an outsider.

When I choose something my husband tells me he completely trusts me; so he could watch something on TV without distractions Formular 1 is more important than chosing trousers etc. And then later he would tell me about our monthly spendings , although I am not that bad, really; I will check lots of places for a good price.

I buy polo shirts from M&S (3 packs of 3 when on 3for2 offer) works out £2.33 for each polo. Third pack I buy a size up for mid year/following year.

Get logos put onto 3 at the same local embrodiery place the national schoolwear shop uses for £4 a logo - polos are a lot nicer than school poly/cotton ones, whiter and wash better, and it works out cheaper too.

Found out who the national schoolwear shop uses for logos by casually asking a junior staff member as the main sales person refused to tell me. Its an factory in an industrial estate, but phoned and they had no problem doing them for me.

Like the logo on polos for the summer and keep some without as either spares or for the winter when worn under logo sweatshirt.

(nb. if you do this wash the M&S polos first before the logo goes on - because they are cotton they shrink with first wash and the logo curls a bit)

I remember I asked the school about their logos and they told me they did not sell them. So, I understand I have to ask the online shop whether they can sell me or make for me my school's logos?
