Easy Girls chapter books

I have a 6 year old DD who suddenly won't read her picture books - they have to be 'chapter books' as she calls them. At the moment she loves the daisy books by Kes Gray(Daisy and the trouble with life etc) but i think there are only 4 books in this series. I think she likes them as they are quite girly, but funny and interesting too, plus she manages this level of reading give or take the odd tricky word or hard to pronounce character name. She does quite like rainbow fairies but i loathe them(SO dull). She wants me to read these to her as she finds them a touch too tricky. They are also odd with level of reading ease, there will be an easy sentance to read then a really tricky one. However, i want to steer her away as there are so many more interesting books out there than rainbow fairies! So, any suggestions to fairly easy chapter books appreciated!

Have you tried Animal Ark? They are as formulaic as the rainbow fairies but i got quite fond of them.

The Magic Treehouse books by Mary Pope Osborne are popular with my DD and DSs.

She also likes all the Usborne Young Reading titles - they're pretty good for bridging the gap between picture books and 'chapter books'.

I always loved Dick King-Smith books, particuarly the Sophie series. Pretty easy and definitely chaptered.

Ms Wiz series (by Terence Blacker, 10 of them, often available as a boxed set through the Book People or Red House) are perfect for this age. My DCs also liked the Magic Tree House ones, and Dick King-Smith (Sophie, the Hodgeheg etc). Also Judy Moody seems to go down well with girls that age.

My six year old likes the Little animal ark( they are shorter than the main ones). - on offer in WHS 12 for £12.99 . She also likes the author Holly Webb - again we only use the easy ones like Lost in the Storm.
