Hi
Over the summer I would like to practice handwriting and writing on lines with ds as, he has asked to do this. He has learnt to write in printing format (manuscript?)and writing on blank paper. I am looking at a book where he can copy quotes etc. onto lines and follow the positioning. What inexpensive resources, books would you recommend?

Spectrum handwriting books are good for copying and writing on lines but I think it uses a cursive script.

How old is your dc? If he is still young often the handwriting improves as the fine motor skills do, so alternatives to handwriting practice can often give better results.

Some ideas.

actually his writing has improved a lot and is good to very good. still reverses the odd j, p, and t. He is keen to practice as in year 1 they write on small lines and he has just started writing on lines. He has said that writing in yr1 is really hard. I am keen to dispell the "writing is really hard" thoughts and have said we can do a little 10 minute practice every day and he is really keen . I was thinking along the lines of copy books
