How to not be personally affected by her mood swings?

How do I not feel personally and emotionally affected by my 11 year old daughter’s mood swings?

(Currently crying because her tshirts are not ‘skintight’ enough)

Try to think of her as a bigger version of a toddler when she’s being like this. Her moods aren’t really aimed at you, just like a 2 year old doesn’t really hate you because you got them the wrong yoghurt or whatever.

Do decide where your limits are in terms of rudeness etc. and try to always enforce those even if she’s in a mood, it will make life easier in the long run.

Sending sympathy as I could have written this myself!

Today we’ve both been in tears and I’m desperately trying to figure out how I get through the next few years Smile
