Daughters upper lip hair removal

My DD aged 8, has noticeable hair on her upper lip. She's started to be conscious of it and a few kids have teased her. Whilst I'll tackle the teasing separately, She's asked how to remove it, but I'm really not sure the best painless approach. I've had the issue all my life and as a child/teen it gave me such confidence issues. Are those Venus dermoplanning trimmers any good? I don't want to cause any pain, and not sure if bleaching it would help the problem (she also has such sensitive skin). Thanks!

I have my facial hair removed by threading but at this age I would use a hair removal cream.

Laser treatment is good and eventually stops growing back so quickly. But not sure if there is an age restriction.

I would use hair removal cream - you won't need to do it very often and as long as you put soothing cream on afterwards it's painless.

I used this on DS2 when he was around that age with no problems - he's now in his 40s.

Thanks for your replies, I'll try and find a super sensitive one and ensure I test before use! She's sensitive to face wipes, but can try!

I'd recommend the 'Finishing Flawless Face' device from Boots or something similar. It's like a tiny battery operated electric shaver type thing. Completely painless but still effective. I think for a child this is the easiest, quickest and most gentle introduction to facial hair removal.

When older I would recommend trying threading but it is very painful for the upper lip area so I think I'd wait until at least mid teens to try.

I had this and honestly, thank you for agreeing to get rid!

Hair removal cream for face at this age, when older use the wax strips (I still use these today) and then eventually laser but I’m not quite there yet!

We started using a gentle facial bleach (Jolene sensitive brand) and then progressed to waxing. We chose to have this done at a salon with an excellent reputation with a very experienced and very gentle beautician and progressed to doing it at home.
