Mattress recommendation for teen and tween

I have a 14 and 11 year old. Bought two beds from Argos that came with mattresses, and are rubbish. Already the springs are coming through. So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a mattress please? I'm sick of buying mattresses that don't last long. But nor do I have too much money. £250 per mattress is the max I can afford. I think memory foam might be better and won't have to worry about springs as much. Any recommendations?

My DC are all 17+ and are still sleeping on second hand M&S mattresses donated to us by a neighbour when they were toddlers, as their children had grown up and moved on - so they are pretty old now. I know people say you should replace mattresses every 10 years or so, but these are still as good as new - no lumps or bumps or springs or anything (plus my DC are mostly at university anyway, so no point buying new ones now). If you can source M&S ones, I'd recommend them (Facebook Marketplace? Ebay? I imagine mine would have been expensive once upon a time, but were fortunately free!)

Highly recommend soak and sleep mattresses we've had ours a good few years. We have a mix of classic and the one with memory foam topper. I googled and they're in your budget. You can normally get 20% off if you look for a code or sign up for a newsletter.

Yy to memory foam.

DC have/had these because both of them broke their mattresses at the same time, I was broke and DD kept breaking beds so I swore it wasnt worth paying much.

(You do need a divan for them or to stick a sheet of wood over the slats on a slatted bed)

They've been fab. Both are going strong several years of daily use later. DD says it has helped with Hypermobility aches and pain (which I had told her it would!!) And she didnt notice it being any hotter in the long run. DS did eventually get an upgrade as he got a specialist adjustable bed second hand that incidentally came with a tempur mattress. That's a beautiful mattress too. His budget one is doing currently still doing service with my sister who is now converted to memory foam too

I have much more expensive memory foam from Dreams. It's old and probably of the age when they say you replace. I loves it and it still beats just about everything for me. I dont know what the equivalent would be these days or even if dreams is still going.

Get memory foam, even the budget ones can be good

IKEA for sure. We have these on our bed too. Just take care to get the correct length (they sell uk or euro length)

You can even pick them up in the car as they come rolled and vacuum packed. Fitted two in a Peugeot 206!
