First period. She’s read about period pants and might like to try them. She is very fussy (ASD) about clothes so this could go either way!

Previous threads suggest modibodi but they only do shorts and hipster and neither are her preferred style.

Best alternative since she’s not in adult sizes.

If she likes these she will be more comfy for sports. But if she doesn’t , what else do people use? Is it just tampons/moon cup?

Ah! Was going to suggest modibodi I’ve found them brilliant.

Cheeky wipes also do period pants. So do bodyform but can’t comment on style as I only use modibodi. Worth a look though

alrightfella · 21/07/2021 22:26

Modibodi do normal briefs too and they have a teen range.

Primark definitely go down to a size 6 in their range which are very cheap and I'm sure M&S do too. Sainsburys sell them too.

UpHillandDownAle · 21/07/2021 22:59

I’ve been very happy with modibodi. I’ve got pants not hipster or shorts. I have very reaction skin so I’ve been happy with the feel of them.

DD likes the sporty style of Cheeky wipes, they do a trial pack with reusable sanitary towels too for first periods so you could try those kits. If you go with them you want about 5 pairs as they take a while to dry because they are thicker (don't feel it when you wear them). The initial outlay is ££ but then you don't have to worry about buying anything else for ages.

TheDrsDocMartens · 22/07/2021 05:29

Modi bodi teen only have hipster and shorts. I’ll look at cheeky wipes.
Size 6 is still likely to be too big.

Cheeky wipes sporty ones start at size for which I think is comparable to age 12-13

CrystalMaisie · 22/07/2021 08:34

My asd dd likes Wuka She’s a 12 and wears L. They start at 2xs so I guess a size 4-6. They have many different styles.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 22/07/2021 08:52

I realize my typing mistake size 4 not for Blush

Ramekin · 22/07/2021 08:57

I think Cheeky Wipes have a wider range of styles, and are a bit cheaper. You can only get black though, modibodi do different colours.

I have had both modibodi and cheeky Wipes pants for a while and all my modibodi ones are now starting to get holes in
the gusset, whereas Cheeky Wipes are still going strong.
I initially thought modibodi far better, but now they are falling apart I will definitely replace with cheeky wipes.

Well dd is 15, does tons of sport inckuding horse riding and swimming and just uses pink body form towels and always has. I suggested tampons right at the beginning but she gave that a fat No. Then I read about period pants which she thinks sound disgusting, so pink body form it is. No idea how she copes but she does.

BunnyRuddington · 22/07/2021 17:52

DD is a size 6 and is getting on with her Primark ones. They only seem suitable for lighter days though.

It says a 6 on the site 😬

Really struggling to get smaller.

The pants were her request so I’m giving it a go. No experience myself though.

@TheDrsDocMartens my dd has the ultimate bikini, the size guide in that page says size 4-6 for 2xs and hip measurement of 85cm. My dd wears the L and takes a 12 in clothes, so I think they come up small. The fabric is reasonably sturdy, not thin and stretchy.

photographygirl75 · 25/07/2021 22:14

Sainsbury's TU have period underwear which is my favourite and reasonably priced so if she doesn't get on with them then its not a lot of money wasted, Primark also have a period underwear range with a variety of styles and would probably be reasonably priced too

CimCardashian · 26/07/2021 00:43

I’ve heard that Wuka come up small so perhaps their smallest size might fit?
