12 year old, underarm hair, best deodorant?

I noticed today my 12 year old ds has underarm hair, the beginnings. he is having noticeable BO, his simple roll on probably isnt strong enough anymore.
He doesn't like spray, he says it burns i think its the cold blast he doesn't like. would a general mens roll on do the trick?

My partner hates sprays and uses Gillette Arctic ice antiperspirant clear gel. It’s actually amazing (I steal one if need it when I run out). It’s about £2.99 each in boots. Might be worth a try. X

Look at natural deodorants. Nuud is great as is the awake organics one.

Mitchum do a stick which feels dry when you put it on.

Agree with Mitchem

Deodorants just cover up the smell. Anything with antiperspirant on will actively stop sweating which is probably what you need more than a deodorant.

dementedpixie · 09/02/2021 18:40

I think OP means antiperspirant but used deodorant as a catch all term.

Most of the suggestions have been for antiperspirant anyway. I can't help as my ds uses a spray

staydazzling · 09/02/2021 20:58

yeah i use it as a catch all term, is mitchum that green one?

Mitchum is a good strong one for smelly boys, mine won’t use anything else.

cuckooflowers · 09/02/2021 21:04

Mitchum is absolutely brilliant.

cuckooflowers · 09/02/2021 21:04

Yes Mitchum is in a light green the spray and roll on are fab.

IM0GEN · 10/02/2021 20:01

I have a DS with some sensory issues, he won’t use the Mitchum roll on ( too wet and cold ) or the spray ( too stingy ) only the dry stick.

At first he wouldn’t use the men’s stick as it smells ( scented ) and he used the women's unscented.

my teens use nivea roll on. the white scent free one for sensitive skin.
important though that they wash properly in shower or bath with soap before applying.
