DD uses period pants but also sometimes pads as well as not much time to use toilets at school with covid rules and one ways systems. I bought her cheeky wipes and modibodi pants, she much prefers modibodi as they are less likely to leak and more like the boy shorts she would ordinarily wear. They do a teen range which makes it good for getting a neat fit. I have a referral code I can send to give us both discount if you decide to go for those. In terms of pads I normally just get the Always sensitive or lilettesteen pads. She doesn't want to try tampons yet.

I got my daughter the Cheeky Wipes period pants. They work well and she finds them much easier than using pads. They are also less expensive than some of the other brands which when you're buying quite a few pairs is a consideration.

They can last a school day without pads depending on flow. DD uses a pad and whips it out at lunch time and uses the pants alone in the afternoon sometimes. The pants are just rinsed through in the sink and then go in the normal wash. It wouldn't be practical to change the pants at school with shoes and tights on although they now make some with a bra fastening so it's easier. She has a few little drawstring sponge bags to keep rinsed out ones in pre washing.

Bra fastening is on the side so they open like a nappy. We haven't tried those though.

This is just the thread I need thank you all

I would be grateful if a referral code please if you are still willing to share thank you.

DD11 is on month two and is very keen to move to pants

We both like the idea that if they can be used alone then brilliant or can be pads in a morning and pants after lunch.

Very helpful thread thanks

Can the modibodi link be used more than once Ceecee? I've been thinking of getting some in ready for when DD starts, she does dancing classes and I think the period pants would be ideal for under her leotard. Don't want to pinch the discount off another poster if its a once only deal though.

My dd started the month after she turned 10 and uses the cheeky wipes pads. She hates the disposable ones as they stick to her leg etc and she gets all in a tangle, plus she hates the feel of them! They have to be rinsed out in cold water then chucked in the machine, they last all day at school and she's happy to rinse them herself (she uses the bath rather than the sink). I really recommend them.

Wuka are quite nice too think they go down to xxs ( teen/tween size) on some of the range. They are slightly bulkier than modibodi but still comfy.

My DD has been using Modibodi since she started age 10. She has the boy pant style ones and wears pads in then although they aren't needed, but it makes her feel secure and has never leaked

Worth every single penny!

We also have the swimming bottoms - brilliant!

DD has some Modibodi teen. I bought her different tampons and towels to try.

She's a bit like me in that she has a heavy flow and was regular right from the first period.

So she has modibodi with towels for the first 2 or three days at school then just goes down to the modibodi.

My dd has some Modibodi and also some asos own brand, Dorina Moon, but they are out of stock at the moment. The asos ones were in adult sizes but come up very small, dd is a size 4 in clothes and the smallest size is snug.
She much prefers the pants to pads. Hasn’t tried tampons yet.
