Sell or keep hot tub - would children use it?

Our new house has a hot tub in the garden. Fairly ancient but in working order - we are wondering whether to sell it. It might be worth about £500-£1000.

I'm not really a 'hot tub' person - I can think of several hundred other ways that I would rather relax and if I wanted a bath, well I'd just go and have a bath. However I am wondering if my kids (2 & 6) might get use out of it when they are a bit older. Does anyone else have a tub that their children use?

Would I have to heat it or might they be happy splashing in it like they currently do in a paddling pool? Our garden is a south-facing heat trap so as soon as the sun comes out it is warm. All experience from other tub owners with children appreciated.

We have a hot tub and teenage children. In the pre pandemic past much younger nieces and nephews have used it. They tended to treat it like a paddling pool, wanted to jump in and out, make a whirlpool etc. Bit of a nightmare ended up with a ton of grass in it and the filter housing got snapped off. I've not let them use it again. It really is just for sitting still in!

Not worth the upkeep to wait and see until they are older.

Mine are 9 and 4 and love ours (much more than me tbh), though it is quite nice on cold winter evenings to sit in there and chat.

The older one and her friends like to hang in it when they have sleepovers.

They know full well to make sure they're not covered in grass when they get in and actually do quite well with not splashing too much.

Oh, we also have a sun trap garden and it got v little use in the summer - just too hot!
