Hey, my Daughter s turning 11 and it’s her last year in junior school, I want to do a birthday party but she is so worried about what everyone else would think she can’t decide what sort of party to have. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks xx

My daughter went to Snow Dome and then for a meal afterwards. She was born in the winter so it might not be suitable for this time of the year so how about hiring a mini bus and going to Alton Towers that is what my son did for his 15th birthday. If you are having it at home hire a bouncy castle and do a barbecue.

Why is she worried about what people will think? What sort of parties have any of her classmates had? Depending on number of invitees, your daughter's interests and budget, could she do bowling, ice skating, cinema, Laser Quest, trampoline park, picnic, Go ape or similar, climbing centre, shopping trip? Or she could literally just do tea at Pizza Express or similar, or pizza, cake and DVDs at home followed by sleepover?

My daughter had a joint birthday neon disco with 4 other children who all shared a birthday withing a fortnight of each other.

The entire Yr6 cohort were invited (all 60 kids) and they had a brilliant time. We have some brilliant photos of neon glowing children with great big glowing smiles.

She gets worried that some of the kids woll think what ever she pick is either too old or too young for them. I have said to just do what ever she wants to x
