What do you feed your little gannets when they come in? Mine are starving and I'm torn between feeding them their tea asap and then they need a top up all too soon again. Or giving them snacks and do tea later. Regardless they'd scoff crisps and biscuits all the time if I let them. It's easier not to buy them. So good snack tips please

Worried about him putting on weight as he's a bit rounder at the moment - although thinking he may be on a growth spurt too

Fruit, possible a sandwich if very hungry, then dinner later.

Same as what they would have for breakfast usually.

I never worry about the rounder phases, it's stretched out of them during a growth spurt. It's obvious when they have genuine weight problems imo.

we are nearly always rushing off to dancing after school so snacks are eaten in the car and then dinner at 6:30ish. snacks are quite large in our house. I don't want them to have another sandwich seeing as they have had sandwiches at lunchtime so they usually get some biscuits, some sort of go ahead type bar and breadsticks or crackers. only get water to drink and they then go and burn off lots of calories. both are very skinny chilldren and eat well at their meal times with home made quite traditional British meat/fish with potatoes and veg or salad so I don't see a problem with the snacks. if kids eat bananas then they are good for snacks.

kids often get rounder then grow up then stabilise for a bit then get rounder than grow up and so on.

I just have two who are constant beanpoles.

Snack first and then dinner otherwise i get the 'im starving' after dinner! Snacks mine have include: banana, hummus / carrots, boiled egg, fruit, yogurt, sliced apple with peanut butter, oatcakes (the nairns cheese ones are a big hit in my house), low sugar flapjacks.
