The movie looks cute but at his age they might start to expect more action

honeysucklejasmine · 13/11/2014 17:56

Erm, yes, I'd say its too young.

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2014 18:03

Definitely don't.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 13/11/2014 18:04

Is this what he wants to do?

beatricequimby · 13/11/2014 22:22

Agree definitely no. Maybe football, swimming, sleepover or the hobbit film.

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2014 22:24

Bowling?

LadySybilLikesCake · 13/11/2014 22:53

No laser gun places??

snice · 13/11/2014 23:06

i would go for bowling-its completely painless for you as you can sit with a coffee and watch then feed them a burger and chips then wave them all goodbye

BonzoDooDah · 13/11/2014 23:11

Take him on his own to that one - it's too young for senior school.
I'd go for something like for a pizza party with a star wars dvd (at home) or bowling - nice number 6 or 12 meet there. Or a couple of friends for a games night or sleepover yes. Depends on how outgoing he is.

Medge68 · 14/11/2014 06:57

Definate no to paddington! Would agree bowling or laser quest and pizza!

SavoyCabbage · 14/11/2014 07:15

I think the cinema is quite a tricky thing for a party. When they are little there are toilets and being scared to worry about the. When they are older there is people not being the right age to see things and whether they have seen things before to worry about. Then there is the judgement call over the film being appropriate.

A 'doing' party is more memorable for your own child as a party.

The sorts of party that the dc in my dd's class are having are
Cinema
Swimming
Roller or ice skating
Climbing wall
Laser quest
Trampolines

Mine had sleepover party with 3 friends (just mucking about with nerf guns, watched Diary of a Wimpy kid, and ate lots of pizza and popcorn).

I think Paddington a bit twee for this age?
