Spots - any further advice?

Daughter has lots of spots and blackheads on her forehead, nose and chin. She's washing face twice a day with water, as well as when she has a shower, using a Freederm facial wipe once a day, as well as spot treatment at night. She mainly drinks water, and the odd glass of milk and has coke about once a week. There's always room for improvement in diet, but she does eat her five a day and rarely has greasy food. She likes her hair in a high ponytail so it's off her face. In reality I know this is just something she has to cope with, but does anyone else have any other ideas which may help.

How old is she?

My DD went through 6 months of really bad spots despite having a really good diet. We ended up getting some cream from the doctors as nothing was shifting them.

They have virtually disappeared since her periods started (3 montsh ago) so i think it might just have been a surge in hormones.

Go to the GP, my ds got Zineryt (?) (I think it's an antibiotic)to apply and advised some facial wash. They don't think it's diet so much any more. It is hormonal change added to infection.

She needs to see the doc so they can give her something to stop it getting entrenched.

Thank you. She's had them for about six months and they've got worse over the last couple of months. I suspect both of you could be right and it's hormones and the lead up to starting her periods. She's had three bouts of getting tearful and anxiety every 2-3 weeks (not saying her periods will be every 2-3 weeks, but mine were every 2 weeks so could fit in) and at nearly 13 could well start her periods soon.
