What age do kids become curious about their 'bits' and the opposite sex ?

My child has never really been that interested in their 'bits', though we've always had age relevant conversations about babies/sex etc

DS (9) has just started to show an interest in his bits. And 'liking' girls. Is that normal behaviour at age 9? Seems early to me.

My 9 year old DS is also OP, he has even started putting wax in his hair before we go to town.

My DD couldn't give a toss about her bits. She describes her labia as her triangle for some reason.
She turned eleven on Saturday and has only in the last couple of months started to be interested in her hair. She chose a new style on her own (and regretted having 30cm cut off immediately), but on the whole she isn't too fussed thank goodness.

what a strange first post OP Hmm

Thats what I said and, I think that is why everyone has ignored it since. The title is worded all wrong even if genuine it comes accross as just wrong.

Blush whoops. Sorry - looks as if I may have inadvertantly fed one.
