I am a mother of 2 and my oldest is at nursery and latley he has been off nursery quite abit, as we are all really bad at getting motivated in the morning. the nursery is a 3 mile walk from my house so i need to leave at 7.30am, and i am worried if i keep having him off nursery i am going to get into real trouble! doesany one know if this can happen? as i know it can happen in high school but do not know about nursery!

Nursery is not compulsory so you will have no issues from that point of view.

However, if he gets early years funding he will normally have to attend a certain number of sessions or your funding may be compromised.

They will frown on you missing days for no particular good reason in school though (even Reception).

I agree with what redskyatnight says.

Is there no other early years provision closer to you or is there anyone living near you that uses the same nursery that you could share the drop-off and collections with so you could share the load.

How old is your younger child and do you get much support from your Health Visitor?
