Pre-school / nursery hours

My 3 year old currently does 5 hours on a morning and 8 hours on the next day as I have to work (therefore not using the full 15 hours)but I don't want him to go for more sessions as I do feel that he will soon be at school and I want him to enjoy the time at home whilst I can. Not sure if I am being selfish and this will hold him back when he has to go to school only going effectively 2 days a week.

Nursery has offered me another morning but not sure whether to take them up on this offer or enjoy the time I have with him.

Any suggestions?

I'd enjoy the time with him. If you're both happy with the current 13 hours, then I'd stick with it.

I don't think it will make much difference. The first term of reception is part time anyway, and even if you did get him the extra session to 'get him ready' for school, he would have a five-week summer holiday before the new term to get un-used to it again. Enjoy your time with him.

Yeah, don't feel pressured to send him. Enjoy your time with him.
