I've seen parents walking to pre-schools/nurserys with bags for the LO's but what do they have in them?

Yup, spare clothes and maybe gloves/hat, etc at this time of year. Any meds (inhalors, etc) if necessary but the preschool will have everything else he needs. It's best not to send them with too much because things can go walkabouts in the mayhem that is 25 toddlers chasing about .

My dcs have never taken a bag to preschool, mainly because they're very reliable at going to the toilet but tbh, they just don't need anything.

Sorry, x-posts, nappies depends on the preschool but usually you have to supply your own, and wipes/bags as well.

at our preschool(dd left before christmas as she's starting big school in Jan ) the bag is for the snack and drink they ask parents to provide, some pre-schools provide a snack and drink. ours gives them water or milk at snack time, the drink they take in is for the child to help themselves to during the session.

But the main reason for the bag at our preschool is to put all the things that dc make and then take home. When dd first started there was lots of paintings/drawings

oh and plimsoles. the children change their shoes and wear plimsoles when indoors instead of clumpy outdoor shoes. If they go outside then they change back to the outdoor shoes IYSWIM.
