Hi my DS started Pre-school after may half term and I was wondering do you usually buy gifts at the end of the summer term? There are 6 members of staff at DS pre-school so if you do buy gifts do you usually get something everyone can share (tin biscuits or chocolates etc) or do you just buy for your DC keyworker?
Would love to know what everyone does as really don't have a clue!

I usually buy something small but now DCs are doing afterschool activities it is getting ridiculous! DS1 has a teacher and classroom assistant, DS2 has 3 nursery teachers, then there's the swimming teacher, judo instructor and piano teacher. Think they may all just be getting cards this year!

I was also wondering the same as ds1 leaves his pre school next week and I don't know whether I should buy his keyworker something and if so,what?

Someone (God bless em) arranged a collection for our y2 teachers so we could get them something they actually wanted. I'd been thinking of wine, but found out they didn't drink; one of them was on a diet; neither of them fond of nick-nacks. I was tearing my hair out!

Now, they'll be getting gift vouchers.

Just realised yesterday that DS1 had his last piano lesson that day - I had thought there was another one next week (last week of term). So now I have missed getting the piano teacher anything, she is v.sweet and I feel guilty! DH says you shouldn't get them anything if you pay for the lessons!!

OFSTED I'm in the same dilemma as you. My DD's keyworker is diabetic so biscuits wouldn't go down too well. I am thinking of making her a sugar-free fruit cake (she asked me for the recipe a while back) and buying a nice, big tin of biscuits for the rest of the staff to share, and a card for everybody. Actually I'm thinking of getting my DD to make a "goodbye preschool" card which will cost less and keep her occupied for a while. HTH

I work as a TA in Y4 and have been with the same class since Y3. I'm really going to miss them and wanted to give them a little gift to say goodbye as they move on to middle school. Any ideas?
