Toileting and primary school

Our 4.2 year old still has the occasional toileting accident (no. 2s) he gets constipated (hes a picky eater)..I'm worried he'll have accidents when he starts primary school in 2 months time. Hes also due to get grommets this week but his attention span really isn't great, he rushes through everything. He has a good group of friends starting primary.school with him but I'm wondering if deferral would be a better option for him. I'm worried his confidence will be affected if he struggles in primary /has toileting accidents but deferring and seperating him from his friends could also negatively affect him. As far as he knows so far hes going to school with his friends. Hardly anyone defers here. What should we do? What's more detrimental?

Toileting accidents are normal in primary school, especially reception, they're 4/5, year olds, it's very common.

My DD is starting reception in September and still has occasional accidents, my 6 year old still had accidents in reception but it didn't last long. Not a single one in year 1.

Holding him back will do more harm in the long run than him having an accident at school will.
