He got one for christmas and loves circling the numbers, counting the pictures, trying to write out numbers ect,

but not sure where to find them, tried amazon but got a bit lost and they mostly say stage xxx, rather than an age.

Hes just turned 3.

Try your local supermarket, I stocked up on loads from Co-op a while ago.
They were 3 for £5.

get em in whilst he's keen, DS1 (3.75yrs) won't sit still for that sort of stuff at all anymore!

Re reading books, join the local library and use a wide range of basic books.

don't buy a reading scheme. You ds will have to use them in school and if he's already seen them all at home he will get bored. Plus you will be fed up of Biff Chip and kipper PDQ, we all are!

WH Smith tend to have them. I also go some from Matalan.

Get the preschool stage, ignore the age recommendation

Got some for dd in sainsbury's yesterday £1.99 a time and they had various titles for ages from 3 up to 7. Book People do bundles from time to time and places like Woolworths, the usual bookstores and bargain ones like The Works sell them .
