How will they do it?

My Ds is due to start Pre school in September, he is quite clingy to me so he is one that needs to be taken off me and lead away to play once I drop him off.
How will they be able to do this now with social distancing?
I hate the thought of dropping him off and him just standing there In the corridor not knowing where to go or what to do.
Also toilet, he can go himself but needs help pulling his pants up and washing hands how will this work?!
I'm really anxious about it all.

He won't just be left alone, so don't worry about that. Just try to have him walking in, even if he's holding your hand.

Practice the toiletting and hand washing at home.

Nursery teacher here and the answer is I don’t know, hoping we can get them in! Lots of exciting activities ready, looking as friendly /reassuring as we can, knowing that we need to get them in and busy straightaway! Help him by talking about him going in, how much fun he’ll have etc don’t surprise him on the day with it like one of my friends is planning to do! Practise hand washing and pulling trousers up although help will be given if needed.
Try not to worry, they know what they’re doing and nobody will be left to be upset.

I work in a nursery- we cannot practice any sort of social distancing with the children. They are comforted, staff help with toileting, change nappies etc just as they always have done. We wouldn't be able to care for them properly otherwise. Also it didn't take long for the children to get used to the new routine of being handed over at the door rather than parents coming in with them.

I work in a nursery and we can't do social distancing, it just doesn't happen
It would be impossible to look after the children properly
We've been open throughout and we have had no cases in our settings - we have half a dozen
