Toys/games for a 4 year old

Urgently looking for toys/games recommendations to keep my 4 year old occupied during self-isolation. We have Brain-flakes and building blocks. He is kind of done with those though!

do you have an ipad? if so, download the curious george adventure bundle. it costs £10 but is worth it.

if he doesn't already have any, dressing up clothes are great.

this playmat is good, get a variety of vehicles (motorbike, van, car) to play with and some people.

a simple one, but fill up the sink with water and some bubbles, and put corks and funnels in the water along with a few sponges and a couple of people figures. it keeps them entertained for ages. you could also put a little food colouring on different sponges so when squeezed the water turns different colours

I’d like to limit screentime as much as possible. My son is a very good negotiator (he can wear me out with persistent nagging) , so I can be sure he’ll squeeze out Atleast a couple of hours of TV/IPad. If I can keep him engaged at other times, we can hope to get out of this Coronavirus thing with Atleast eyesight intact!

Well what other toys, games, and activities does he have ?

Dinoasuars / small world / jungle animals / farm animals
Cars / trains
Dolls / kitchen stuff
Outdoor stuff - different size balls/ a slide or swing/ beanbags / skittles
Chalk / paint / crayons / pencils
scissors / glue / old catalogues / old Christmas or birthday cards / junk modelling / scrap book
Buiding a den - with a sheet / large box / old curtain
Dressing up box
Make some play dough
Sorting somethings to "help" you
washing stuff (eg his stuff from the toy kitchen)

"Helping" you - cooking / gardening / housework.... baking or 'helping' with dinner prep.

5 minute mum is a great one to follow on Instagram with easy set up ideas..

E.g.
Treasure hunt with jigsaw pieces.. you hide the pieces then they find and make it

Get a piece of wall paper or other roll, tape to the floor and draw whatever.. successful ones for us have been a Peppa pig adventure.. draw Pappas hill and house, then roads to the beach etc.. farm is also a good one. I draw and DS tells me what to draw (I'm no artist!).

Obstacle course with cushions, teddies etc

Oh I take toys away too if we'll be in a lot.. so he focuses then when the other toys come out he's more interested.

Setting up role play is a big hit atm.. shopping was this week's.. put out his play food, some food boxes I had, milk bottles etc and till. Made a trolley out of a building set and it's entertained for ages (although I'm a bit sick of it!!)
