Nursery report - why don’t they explain what the numbers mean??

DS has his 2 year (he is 27 months to be exact) health check on Monday and his nursery have prepared a report for him.
They have marked him down as ‘30 - 60 emerging’ for everything. But they don’t actually explain what this even means!
A quick google has me thinking the numbers are an age bracket and that he is low in that age bracket? But they are always saying he is bright?

If he's 27 months old but is achieving in the 30 months plus bracket, then he's achieving higher than his actual age.

Hiya,
I work with 2 yr olds in a private nursery. If he's emerging in 30-50 at 27 months then he's just where he should be. The previous age bracket is 22-36 months and he must be secure in that to be emerging in to the next bracket. I hope that helps!

Yes it does - thank you!
Just noticed that the ones in the communication and language are 30-50 developing and there is one 22-36 secure in health and self care.

Thanks again!

So 30- 60 will be the age range they expect to be able to do stuff so if he is emerging he is about where he should be possibly slightly ahead

I have done these for years if he is emerging in that age bracket he is right where he should be, when doing them we have to look at a number of statements and from observations and knowing them well ascertain if they achieve these.
