Let her have her birthday off?

My daughter's 3rd Birthday is on Monday and she has pre-school 8.30-11.30. I'm really not sure if it is unfair to make her go or not ok to keep her off? What have you done? Thanks in advance

Send her in. They will make a fuss there and then you can do something afterwards

Thank you both, I thought they would do something nice for her which is lovely. I'll do something special with her afterwards, too :)

She's 3! It's not fair or unfair. If you want to do something special with her in the morning it won't hurt her in any way to not take her. It also won't hurt her to have her attend for 3 hours. It's up to you.

Send her in. She'll have a nice time there, and there's still plenty of the day left for other birthday stuff

At three I’d want to spend the day with her myself tbh.

If they'll celebrate/ let you send a cake in it would be nice to have her celebrate with her friends. If not, I would just keep her off.

DS started pre school on his third birthday! They did say we could swap days but I thought it would be a good day to start as he would have extra fuss made of him and he took cake in, so it was a way to make friends. He was the only one starting that day.
