Will my DS get a place at nursery?

Hi guys, Im new at mumsnet so am trying to work my way around it.. sorry. Confused

I live across the road from a lovely primary school (Hackbridge Primary School), and I managed to get a place for my son to start nursery now in september..
However, we're going to have to move now at the end of August and I have seen a nursery (Manor park primary) near the new house that has an 'Outstanding' report from Offsted and the indoor and outdoor area is just amazing!

My question is... would I get a place for my son there? Because the school office is closed atm due to the summer holidays, so I can only apply when they reopen on the 4th of Sep. But the nursery starts on the 11th..
If I were to apply for my son on the 4th, would he be accepted by the 11th? or close by a close by date? Or should I just keep him in his old school? (Which is 10min drive!)

Cause I didn't want to settle him down in a Nursery and then have to move him weeks/months later.. Sad
Any advice? Confused

Please help!!

I don’t know either nursery but highly doubt an outstanding nursery would have empty spaces.

Unless someone who works in that nursery or someone who has already applied and been told they are full sees this post there is no way we would know. I wouldn't give up the place at the nursery you know you have a space at until you have an answer.

I have seen the school checker app and it states that it's not an oversubscribed nursery (there are about 3 outstanding nurseries in the area, but this is the only one that accepts 3 year olds, the others accept from 4yrs onwards, so i think older kids must go to the other nurseries Hmm)

I don't plan on giving up the space on the current one, but then, I worry about him settling down at the current one and then having to move him to new one because I got a space... Confused

Many nurseries are not full in September. Most nurseries operate a 3 x yearly intakes (Sept, Jan, April) and the intake rises as the children turn 3. I would maybe send an email to the office, stating your interest in a place and your intention to contact School to fill out relevant paperwork in September. Schools hold the info for their own nursery places so someone may email back to say if there's a space.
