Keep DD at childminder or move to preschool

DD is due to turn 3 next year so eligible for preschool. I'm trying to decide whether to send her or not. She is currently with a childminder 4 days per week. It's an ok setting she is happy has a secure bond with minder and gets on well with the other children. The setting doesn't have a lot of toys/ development material, very basic and pretty much just the CM's home without much sign of a minding business if you see what I mean. CM also doesn't go on many outings maybe twice a week to local playgroup and library. I've kept DD there as she is very happy despite the lack of resources and CM is very hands on with playing with the children always on the floor, DDs language has come on loads as well as her Love of books al attributable to the CM. Our local catchment school has a preschool attached to it which means DD could go next year (mornings) and I'm wondering if I should send her. On the one hand I think it would be great for her development to be in a more structured setting but on the other hand I worry that she might be too young (summer born) and a formal setting when she's just turned 3 would be too much. Just wanting to hear other people's opinions on what we should do really so any thoughts please wise mumsnetters?

I thought childminder had to follow the national curriculum same as pre school.

Go and have a look round and see if it would suit

I'd be inclined to give it a try but not be scared to go back to the childminder if you think she's not settling.

At my DC's school there's only a few reception kids who don't go to the preschool the year before, so will feel like the new kids. IMO I reckon it's worth getting her used to a school setting so that when she does go into reception she's got some established friends and she knows how school works.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will go and have a look at the open day to get a feel for it
