Biting child

DS is 4.4 and in a state nursery school. There's a child there who has always been a bit rough (possible SEN) and has recently taken to biting others.
Last week the child bit DS and we weren't told about it. He told me the next day, so obviously wasn't too bothered but he did say he told the TA at the time (class teacher has been off sick- I'm not sure what cover they've had). She denied this when I asked her.
It's parents evening tomorrow and I'd like to raise our concerns that biting is going unreported and thus not being dealt with properly. How do I put it though? DS is there until July and will hopefully continue in Infants school there, so want to tread carefully.

As a primary teacher, I would just say you understand these things can happen but you are obviously concerned that it happened and you weren't told as you wouldn't want your child thinking it is acceptable to bite someone nor would you want him feeling there is no point telling an adult if he has been harmed. Come at it from that point of view rather than all guns blazing about the other child and you will be totally reasaonable. Good luck x

That's a good way of putting it. Thank you.
