DS#2 will be 4 in Feb. He started at a local nursery in September - 2 full days a week. He loved it to start with but recently he's been tearful in the morning and didn't want to go. He's been ill and I put it down to being still a bit rundown maybe. But this afternoon one of the care workers approached me as I was leaving with DS and told me that he has been crying for Cory (who doesn't go today) - his best mate at the nursery - and had been a bit left out of the main group of his age children. The nursery staff cuddled him and made him feel happier and he was fine when I picked him up.
Is this the reason he's been reluctant? If the key worker told me this, does it mean that she is seriously worried - surely it's something that you'd leave the children to sort out for themselves normally. And is there anything I can do about it or am I just supposed to fret pointlessly?
