Preschool place offer/requirements

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has been in similar situation:
Our first choice preschool contacted us this week to offer DD a full-time place (5 days, 9-3), and of course we accepted.
But in order to proceed to next stage of admission, DH and I need to provide proof of employment.
I can't remember if the office lady said 'full-time employment', but I did explain that we were both self-employed, and I do max. 3-4 days a week. And didn't get an outright 'no'.
But now I'm stressing it may mean we won't be eligible :-/
There is still an offer for a part-time place (mornings only), but that's not a workable option.
This is a preschool attached to community primary school.
Any experiences or advice welcome - thanks!

Never heard of one offering full time places. All the ones here offer either mornings or afternoons 3 hours a day.

It might be specific to your area to help working parents.

I've never heard of this honestly. It's a state school?

I know of one state pre school (rural location, attached to a school) that does offer full school days. But, as only 15 hours are funded, the parents must pay for any hours that above that, plus pay a separate charge for the lunch hour. If they have space and you can pay the top up fees then your child can attend.

Could your pre school simply be making sure you have the means to pay for the non founded hours? Or as a previous poster suggests, is it a scheme to help working parents? There must be a copy of their admission policies and practices somewhere. I would ask to see it if I were you.
