So the attatched nursery has invited my son to normal intake in septemer or additional to start in january, i have another son whos birthday isnt until may so wont be able to start until september. What are the pros and cons of starting in january instead of september? If we send him in september will he be in the same classes as his brother?
It confuses me how it benifits when by primary school they will be in the same year / possibly same classes?
If any of this doesnt make sense just ask?

How many months apart are your DS's birthdays? Unless it's less than 12 months they won't be in the same class in infants.

Theyre 6 months apart 1 just turned 3 in november the other is 3 next may !
Are they educated in a nursery attatched to a school, or is it just a care provider?

Any care provider, including nurseries, childminders etc should follow the EYFS curriculum so there will be some learning through play in all settings.

the one turning 3 in sept gets his nursery funding from jan 14 and gets 5 terms, the one turning 3 in May doesn't get his nursery funding until Sept 14 and gets 3 terms. they both start reception in Sept 15. The older one gets more time in nursery which kind of seems unfair on the younger ones (my DS is a May born child) but then again i suppose the younger ones are starting school that much earlier
