Would pre-school change 2.2 year olds nappy?

He probably won't be starting until after Xmas but would they change his nappy? He shows no signs of potty training yet and he often has diarrhoea due to allergies (we are waiting for an allergy test in December) hopefully the allergies will be managed by the time he goes I'm just panicking that they are going to leave him all morning with a stinky nappy because they don't do it?

Yes. I'm pretty sure they would.

depends on the preschool but if its a preschool that takes children from 2 (which i'm assuming they do being as your 2.2 is going) then i am pretty sure they will as loads of kids aren't trained at that age.

Ours changes my 2.5 year old dds nappy if she's done a poo, they won't unless she's pooed but she's only there for 2.5 hr sessions so I just make sure it's freshly done before she goes in

To me that's an absolute must - we change every time our kids need a change, wouldn't have it any other way!

The preschool my dd2 does as long as I provide the nappies

We change the nappies of all children who are wearing them. We take children from 3 years +. We also regularly clean up those children who are toilet trained but have had accidents.

I think the difficulty could be more around the diarrhoea. If a child has 2 loose bowel movements in a row, then we ask the parents to come and take them home as it generally means they have an upset tummy. If your child was in our nursery, we would be asking for a letter from your GP/consultant to confirm possible bowel effects of the allergy. Unfortunately, we've had too many nasty bugs passed round nursery when parents have brought their child in to nursery and tried to convince us that loose bowel movements have been a result of food intolerance/eating fruit/being excited/eating too much party food etc.
