dd1 starts pre-school in august

i went to enroll her, etc etc etc

the school secretary said "oh you can buy t shirts and sweaters with pre-school written on it"

the t shirts were nice cotton, they are a lovely red colour and they were a great price so i bought a couple of t shirts and a sweater

now im panicking that dd1 will be the only child with a 'uniform' and will be the odd one out

also, obviously she doesnt have to wear one every day (although i know she will want to) but what does she wear with it? the school uniform, is a grey skirt, but because she is at preschool can she wear jeans etc, i am confused Blush

At dd's pre-school about 2/3 wear the t-shirts/sweatshirts. I encourage dd to wear them as they wash well and I don't really care what gets on them IYSWIM. ds has now started a couple of sessions a week so he wears them too (same ones passed down).

dd has had a couple of the Asda ginham dresses (she is desperate to look like the girls at the school!) to wear now and loves them so much she wants to wear them on Saturdays...

at dd2's preschool all of the children wear the T shirts - perhaps something to do with being given one on registration! But I think they're fab - they act as a kind of apron to cover her other clothes!

(and nailpolish, you can get the dresses in all the shops that sell uniform - M & S, mothercare, adams, Tesco, Asda etc etc etc )

another good reason to wear the pre-school t-shirts / jumpers is that they are often used to raise some money for the school as well.

none of the children had uniform on Sad

and i forgot to ask the teacher

although she did say a hundred times to make sure i send dd1 in playclothes as they all get v mucky (which dd1 did)
