Nursery school for local primary

I emailed my local school to ask some questions about their nursery class. In their response, they said that there are 26 places and for the last few years virtually all have gone to siblings (for the primary school itself, there are 60 places of which half go to siblings).

What do you think? Is it worth even applying? I don't think there is a registration fee.

A primary nursery normal runs an open waiting list, nothing to do with the primary's admission rules.

DD2 got in because I was told to register at birth by the nursery admissions lady, which I wouldn't have known without DD1, but not on a sibling rule as such.

Well, you might as well apply, but I'd be looking around for other options! Our primary school nursery is like YR- the applications are handled by the council and yes siblings have priority. We are lucky that ours is a big nursery, I think 60 ish children, same as YR .
