What would make you take up more sessions for your child at nursery?

... if you already have your child in say 2 half day sessions per week, what incentive would encourage you to increase this to 2 full day sessions, for example? I have a job interview and this is one of the many presentation questions!! Cheers

It is good practice for school - eating together in a group over lunchtime, getting to grips with a packed lunch/school dinner.

They might get more into the rhythm of the day, with a short 3hr session by the time you (child) have settled in, got coats off/ been to loo, it is nearly time to come home again.

I needed no persuading, mine went for some full days as soon as I was happy they would manage without a nap and they love the preschoolGrin For me, I could go shopping/go out for lunch with friends, actually get some benefit from them being out! For us, the local preschool is the only childcare we have used.

I've just increased my DS's hours at preschool. He is now doing an extra afternoons so 2 half days and 2 full days. It took him a long time to get used to extra hours in September - got very tired, grumpy, yucky etc. So I thought it would good to up his hours slightly this term to prepare for school next term.

I wouldn't have done it if he didn't absolutely adore preschool. He loves being there and learns a huge amount. It's a great environment for him.
