EYFS parent observations

My DS's nursery has asked us to do home observations as part of the EYFS Parent Partnership and write on sticky labels.

This is the first time I've come across the EYFS, and perhaps I'm being dim, but what exactly are we expected to write, please?

Any help would be greatly received!

I think it can be as simple as you like, like 'Bob enjoyed making sandcastles at the sandpit'

'Bob helped to make his own sandwich'

Exploring different textures/new motor skills like buttering bread all count as learning for the EYFS stuff, AFAIK.

Thanks, that certainly helps!

Anything you notice at home, new skill, interest in something. Its so helpful to get them back (makes note to send DS's back - i work at the nursery, oopps)

We have it as a diary, that goes between playgroup and home. We have been asked to note things that show developmental progess, achievements, interests, difficulties, changes in behaviour, changes in home enviroment.

Or we went to Grandma's & Bob was excited

Or Bob tried Kiwi but wasn't impressed

Do do them - they add so much to the child's folder
