should I send dd to nursery in tracksuit bottoms as she cannot do up buttons?

3yo DD1 is starting nursery in January, she cannot do up the button on her jeans and gets in a twisted mess when pulling up tights so skirts/dresses a no no in this weather.

I am struggling to find size 4-5 jeans that do not have a button.

Am I restricted to sending her in tracksuit bottoms?

Yes, DS does. TBH they're not what I would class as tracksuit bottoms, just pull up lined trousers.
Although I think some do have a button, but I don't think he undoes it - he's a skinny little thing

aren't most small kids jeands elasticated at the waist?
mine never needed to undo the button, they just pulled them up and down.

Leggings and cute tops will be easy for her at nursery. I would avoid buttons until she can do them - it will make her life easier.

I don't tihnk DS has ever unbuttoned his jeans in his life, he just pulls them on and off.

My 5year old boy still likes pull up jeans and trousers. We get jeans from Tescos and school trousers from BHS. I'm afraid I haven't checked girls trousers. Good luck!

DD must be fussy then she always undoes the button and then I have to do it back up.

Send her in whatever she can manage herself.

Don't send her in anything precious either as she will come home covered in paint, glue, yogurt etc. Keep it really simple and easily laundered if you can.

DD has been in elasticated combat type pants for the past 3 weeks as we are potty training, always send her to nursery in them as they are easy and I wont be too upset when they come home full of paint etc. Just put on her what she is comfortable in/ can manage herself.

My 3yo lives in leggings and long tops/dresses.

She won't wear anything "scruffy" (and by this she means scratchy Grin ) and likes all girly/frilly clothes.

She likes velour joggers too. These are easy to pull up/down and pass dd's comfort test too ...

Long tops/ dresses plus leggings seem popular with our girls.

Lots of the boys plus the girls wear elastic waisted jeans, there are a couple that undo the popper button at the top, but need help todo it up again, not a problem.

belts of any kind are a pain and usually result in wet pants.
