Do ofsted like them or not? I know they don't like colouring sheets or templates because it limits imagination and creativity .... apparently.

colouring sheets/templates DO limit creativity because the presence of lines/shapes force the child in a particular direction

When you say sticker books, what do you mean? do you mean stickers that the child can select and apply to their creation - or do you mean stickers-for-beahviour ?

This sort of thing.

hmm I would say no, because again the aim is to get the sticker in a partic place on the page - usually the adult would have to guide the preschooler in some way, pointing out the bubble or whatever where the sticker should be placed so choice is restricted and the activity becomes adult-led

a simple story book would be of more benefit

presumably you are trying to familiarise rising 5s with the concept of startng school next year?
