Watching DVDs at nursery

DD suddenly has a wealth of information about all Disney princess films, Toy Story and so on. I have taken her to see The Princess and the Frog at the cinema, but she hasn't seen any others with me. She can even quote lines from the films. She tells me she watches them at nursery, sitting on the carpet. Does this seem odd to anyone? Aren't these films a couple of hours long? When I once asked about them watching a film (trying to be all casual) the manager said she couldn't imagine that happening, yet she knows so many films now it must be on a daily basis. Am I being silly to be concerned about the amount of viewing that seems to be happening? Should I ask them again? Isn't sitting on the floor for any length of time bad for littles ones' joints?

Ask again. Sounds a bit dodge to me...

chase that up. is it daycare/private/funded? not that it's acceptable in any circumstances really, except as a one-off.

She might have seen a bit of the film or a trailer for one (though you'd hope the nursery would fast forward through that bit). Or maybe another child likes to play "Toy Story" or whatever (DS was a Ben 10 expert at nursery and has still never seen it).

It seems they watch half an hour a day as a down-time after lunch. I can cope with that! Just thought she was watching a couple of hours a day. Thanks girls.
