I can’t be arsed with all this again. I’d rather let it take me than go through the whole clapping/banana bread/toilet roll bollocks again.

Same. I’m so pissed off with constantly being told to ‘worry’ about something. I’m done with arseing about worrying about things. If I die of the plague then so be it but I’m spending another minute of my short life being frightened of succumbing to ‘something’.

As I have said on t'other thread, if you are taken to anxiety, don't read Annie Jacobsons book "Biological War: A Scenario".
It is a work of fiction but extremely well researched, and the beginning of it will give you a deja vu moment.

Just found it on both Amazon and Audible. As I have an audible subscription, I’m going to get it with my next credit. Thanks x

For me it's not about being worried.
'if' something like the plague was spreading in this area I would prefer not to have to go out shopping. If you are prepared it means a. You don't have to go out just to shop b. If supplies are limited you are not taking from those supplies (therefore others have a better chance of getting food they need).

If we contracted something like the plague then it's irrelevant

I see being prepped like being insured. I hope I never need to use my house insurance but I pay it just in case I need it. I hope I don't have to rely only on my preps but if i something happened then I would be glad that it's one less thing to think about.
