Drinking water storage in small property

Hello

I'd like to store 5 days worth of water for household of 2 adults. However I live a compact house, no garage, cellar etc. can anyone recommend robust food safe water storage cans that stack conveniently and could go in under the stairs or other small spaces? I think multiple containers will be easier to Jenga in to spaces.

I don't know of any containers, but I use water purification tablets as my back up.

They are cheap and tiny.

Does it have to be water?
If not fruit juice cartons stack and have a reasonably long date
Plastic wrapped multi pack of water stacks fairly well too.

I live in a flat and have had to think of alternatives.

Sorry to be no help with the actual question though.

I have packs of water bottles in wardrobes. Mine are tall, 2 litre bottles, but fit easily at the back of the wardrobe.

Get a few 2L x 6 multipacks, they stack really well.

In addition to the advice to get water purification tabs etc, get a map and find your nearest spring or well. If power goes out for a long period so will water and you won't want to be drinking from rivers.

In a very small home you may have to get creative about storage, you might be able to make use of the space at the end of the bath if you take the side off. Or what about inside the sofa, there is usually an empty space. Could you remove the kick boards of the kitchen cupboards to stash a few bottles?

If you want to store water you need to keep it in black light proof containers or in total darkness. Otherwise, you can get algae growing in the water.

You might want to filter spring water. We have a drinkable spring but it has little grey prawns living in it.

There are collapsible water containers so in theory good for strange shaped/sized areas. But probably not as robust.

There are stackable jerry cans of various volumes, e.g. 5L, 10L, 25L.

Tanks of various dimensions and volumes though I have no idea if they're stackable due to the screw lid.

Barrels and drums which could be stored outside. Probably if put on a pallet so off the floor and with a tarpaulin over them to protect from the elements and rust.
