Keeping essentials in a baby bag for emergencies

I ended up in a&e with my baby whilst in town a few weeks ago after an accident- thankfully nothing serious. I had nothing useful with me apart from nappys and Wetwipes and my phone ran out of battery. I was hungry and really bored, couldn't contact family and it made me realise I should be better prepared in future.

I've created a little emergency pouch iny baby bag containing
A powebank and cable
Spare Dummy
Antibac gel
Headphones
A few of those long life ready mixed bottles of formula
Some cereal bars for me and snacks for the baby
Pen and paper
Hair bands
Mints
Spare change
Sanitary towels
Deodorant
Paracetamol/Ibuprofen tablets

It's all useful stuff to have when out and about. I also have another pocket with spare clothes/Bibs etc for the baby.
Is there anything I have forgotten?

I don't want to get caught short again.

That's a good list! Other things you might consider (though it might start to get heavy)

A drink for you
Headphones (so you can watch/listen to stuff on your phone)
A book or magazine (in case of no phone signal)
Spare contact lenses/glasses if you wear either
Depending on baby's age, a toy or book to entertain them?

Thanks, those are some great additional ideas.
I generally chuck some toys in the bag as I walk out the door but hadn't thought of those other things. It's a nice big bag with loads of compartments so I can keep everything stowed awaY for when it's needed.

For the baby small pouches of calpol and as tbey get a little bigger one or two plasters. Are things we try and have or wished we had in the past. Coulring pencils and a colouring book can also be useful.

I have a 'go bag' in the back of my car.

Snacks for all the kids
Stickerbooks
Spare clothes
Power bank
£10 in coins for parking
Pjs
Blanket
Pad and pen
Cartons of juice
Wipes
Hand warmers
First aid kit (antihistamine/cal pop/savlon)

It's a mix of if I breakdown/need to go to hospital etc. Basically a small amount to cover many emergencies

Always carry nappy bags/carrier bags for pukey/pooey/gross clothes!

I’m addition to the above:

Blanket and large muslin: I still have these now and my son is 4!

And a spare shopping bag: handy to put dirty stuff in, or extra things you manage to accumulate.

I’ve also had quite a few emergency overnights in hospital with my son so I always have an eye mask, ear plugs, and a small torch for myself.

In mine there's also a travel toothbrush& toothpaste as we've had to do a few overnight waits. I have a dedicated bag & keep our Red Book in there, might be worth noting down anything major in your notepad in case your mind this blank in a panic. I packed a pair of thick socks or velcro baby slippers too, for keeping little feet warm after they had to remove my LO's footed onesie for access.

Even now, many years later, I keep the end of a tube of anaesthetic cream in my little first aid pack in the car.

I still carry a pack of baby wipes, tissues, nappy sacks, plasters, phone lead, power bank, change, spare clothes etc in the car & ds is 18, thing is they are for me now as I am disabled & suffer from incontinence.

Tooth brush, paste.
Sanpro
Spare knickers.

I've started creating little sub bags to keep in mine and my partners cars so I'll include the suggestions in those.

Really useful ideas. Thanks

Sore clothes - clean knickers and socks, big T-shirt to sleep in.

I used to have a builder tool box, lots of compartments and kept everything ready, even for days out it came in handy. I had spare towels as we live near a beach.
